Andrology

The Male Fertility Analysis Program (Andrology Laboratory) is a state-of-the-art facility for the evaluation of male fertility. The laboratory supports the Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Division of the Obstetrics/Gynecology Department and also serves the Male Sexual Dysfunction and Infertility Clinic, the Urology Department and physicians in private practice.

The laboratory uses computer-aided sperm analysis for precise measures of sperm count, motility and morphology and meets the accuracy standard (count and morphology) of the national Andrology Proficiency Challenge Program. Other tests and procedures offered are direct sperm antibodies, semen fructose and sperm washing for intrauterine insemination (IUI).

The laboratory is located in room MB-453, adjacent to the Women's Center on the fourth floor of the Memorial Campus. The laboratory is open every day, but patients must schedule all requests at least 24 hours in advance. Weekend operations are limited to IUI preparations (mornings only).
