LRSweb - Web-Based Requisitions

LRSweb is a web-based electronic laboratory requisitioning application that operates on standard Windows PCs from any location that has access to the Internet and the World-Wide Web (e.g., physician's offices, nursing homes, patient service center, drawing station or hospital clinic). With its user-friendly interface, LRSweb enables the user to easily create and send electronic requisitions to the servicing laboratory, with a paper backup copy that accompanies the specimen.

Automated requisition entry:
  - Positive specimen ID (bar coded requisitions and label)
  - Efficient process
  - Provides data integrity
  - Manifests for daily logs and courier pickup

Automated Interfaces: capture demographics, create MRNs, register both client-bill and third-party registrations, specimen accessioning, lab order, abstract diagnosis for billing, update remote dictionaries and create management reports

System Security: special password encryption process restricts end user access within the host computer system

Advanced Test Scheduling: through the use of a flexible scheduling feature, the user is able to schedule tests that occur in a cyclical manner in advance of the actual preparation of the requisition, thus saving time and reducing the number of errors in the testing process

Medical Necessity: allows allow office staff to comply with regulatory medical necessity requirements and have the ability to print patient-specific advance beneficiary notices (ABN)

Specimen Accessioning: automates the specimen receiving process, reduces workloads, enhances data integrity -- dramatically reducing call-backs and repeated procedures

Management Reports: provide a full tracking system to record user volume and types of processing
