	Unacceptable	Specimens (swabs or urine) not in APTIMA® transport media. Large white swab is for preparatory cleaning of the endocervix and is unacceptable for testing.

	Minimum Volume	Swab or 2.0 mL Urine Submitted in APTIMA® Combo 2 Assay Transport Media
	Remarks	Female endocervical or male urethral swabs, or urine. If the specimenis urine collect 20 mL. Also, the patient should not have urinated within 1 hour of collection and no cleaning should be done. Transfer urine to the APTIMA® Tube within 2 hours of collection.
