	Unacceptable	Serum. Specimens collected in heparin, citrate, or oxalate. Hemolyzed specimens. Refrigerated or specimens sent on ice.
	Transport	CRITICAL FROZEN
	Minimum Volume	2.0 mL Plasma
	Remarks	Optimal specimen would be drawn between 7:00am - 10:00am. If an upright specimen is collected, patient should be upright (seated or standing) for at least two hours.
	Notes	Separate plasma from cells and freeze immediately. Stability: After separation from cells: Ambient: 6 hours. Frozen: 1 month. If unable to spin, separate and freeze: call for a STAT courier and send sample to lab immediately (Room Temperature).
